Chaperones For both student and private groups (of up to 20 people) which include individuals who are not of age it is essential that the group is accompanied by a teacher or responsible adult.
Weather Our outdoor activities will only be cancelled when weather conditions force us to close the garden. We recommend you bring appropriate clothing in case of weather changes during your visit (umbrella, raincoat...)
If a group cancels its reservations due to bad weather a refund will not be given. Accessibility All of our facilities have wheel chair and stroller access. We also have wheel chairs available for those who need them. We recommend that you inform the information and visitor center of any special needs you may have when making your reservation.
Materials For some activities including those for both private and student groups, it is necessary to bring a writing utensil. (pencil, pen...)
Food and Drink The Garden does not have a cafeteria but visitors can use vending machines located at the main entrance. There are no specific picnic areas and visitors can consume outside refreshments throughout the garden. We ask that when they leave, visitors treat our facilities and other visitors with respect and take their garbage with them.
Parking The Garden does not provide bus parking for private or student groups. We ask groups that do take a bus to arrange to be dropped off and picked up in the Plaza de Murillo, located in el Paseo del Prado between the Royal Botanical Garden and the Prado Museum. See: How to get here
Arriving at the Garden Upon arrival, a group leader should identify themselves and the group at the entrance. Activities will begin at the designated hour and it is the responsibility of the group to arrive on time. Any delay will result in a shorter activity. Any delay more than 30 minutes will result in the cancellation of the activity and a refund will not be given.
