Glaucous, glabrous annual; fertile stems usually numerous, 8-13 cm, decumbent to ascending, branched above; sterile stems usually absent. Leaves of fertile stems 6-25 x 0.4-1.3 mm, linear, acute, flat, in whorls of 3-5 below, alternate above. Inflorescence with 2-5 flowers, somewhat dense in flower, lax in fruit. Bracts 3-4.5 mm, linear, acute. Pedicels 0.5-1 mm in flower, 1.52.5 mm in fruit, erect. Calyx-lobes unequal, linear, acute; adaxial lobe 5-7 mm; abaxial lobes 3-5.5 mm. Corolla 14-17 mm, pale yellow with bluish veins; tube somewhat slender; spur 6-8.5 mm, slender, somewhat curved, more or less equalling rest of corolla. Capsule 4-5 mm, globose, glabrous. Seeds (1.5-) 2-2.6 mm, suborbicular, plano-convex or somewhat concavo-convex, black; hilum somewhat narrow; wing 0.4-0.6 mm broad, somewhat thick, smooth except for scattered tubercles towards disc, not papillate; disc reniform, tuberculate, not papillate, the tubercles short, acute; periclinal wall of testa-cells tabular, verrucate or verruculate, the anticlinal walls of testa-cells somewhat sinuate or angular, with interrupted ridge over junction.
