Flowers zygomorphic, shortly pedicellate or subsessile, in lax, leafy, spike-like racemes. Floral leaves not subtending additional axillary shoots. Pedicels not cirrhous. Calyx deeply divided, the lobes entire, valvate, conspicuously unequal, the adaxial lobe much shorter than lateral lobes, the lateral lobes exceeding corolla-tube. Corolla with tube cylindrical, calcarate abaxially at base; limb bilabiate, the lips subequal, the adaxial lip shallowly emarginate, erecto- patent, the abaxial lip spreading with low palate more or less occluding mouth of tube, the spur conical, straight, inconspicuous; lobes entire.
